Does MailGuard protect your outgoing mail?  No, in fact, no locking mailbox is allowed to protect your outgoing mail.  The US Post Master requires that the mailman be able to retrieve all outgoing mail from curbside and residential mailboxes without the use of a key.  Unfortunately, that means that anyone could take our outgoing mail.  We advise that drop all outgoing mail  in a US Post Office drop box.
